as Father of 5 and g father of 12.5 grandchildren... I too will never know your simple and profound statement gum drop. The battle tween gender is the most ancient of battles and unless we cop-on (as they say here in Cork) .. one day maybe there will be two governing bodies leading each country- one...

Hi! Nandu, I have come across a lot of people who have read the book you speak of - mainly women. I am no longer reading post-Jungian material as (at the age of 70!) have now found my way, even arrived, albeit, this still involves life's common struggle and the working out of ones ancestral lot. (al...

From over 20 years of experienceas a clinical psychotherapist working for three consultant psychiatrist with psychiatric outpatients... I consider Anorexia also to be an adverse response to an over baring mother as the child's suppressed rebellion by puking (mother’s) food back.. an attempt to take ...

Knowing your instrument does not mean you stop reading music..it can mean you can play your own tune as well, if not as well as the next. Uniqueness is peculiar and so both annoying for those who would have it otherwise. The terror of freedom to be as equal as the next and to have the capacity to be...

Beautiful posts herein.. as we struggle to find that which seems to exist only when we find it..etc.. We all HAVE to have beliefs.. so we may as well adopt useful ones rather than (necessarily) orthodox ones.. I personally have concluded no human will stand between me and that which made me... I am ...

Agreed on above.. with the above and the belief in the hereafter goes way back 30,000 years of worshiping the goddess and 7,000 worshiping the son of the goddess. this is taken from Archaeology and Anthropology etc,. The topic is huge indeed, I like the idea that mankind NEEDS to put upon ‘the gods’...

At least I am not alone and have two elaborate Jungian analyses of fairytales, taken from the original by brothers Grimm, knowing the value of what you have stated- the notion of active imagination is vital for personal and scientific development as the 'idea' is just that... an act of active imagin...

Thanks Cindy for the reminder of Jung’s limitations and point of perspective. Having read the lot he wrote (except the Red Book!) I conclude succinctly but not without deep regard and having acquired much insight thanks to himself etc..that he leaves his reader suspended.. to ‘individuate’ as he wou...

'Dealing with'- ya don't! They do the dealing!! but....... Too succinct to make use of what you say Ercan 2121…We float on a sea of unconscious and I suppose the best thing is to create an unsinkable 'Ego' in such dangerous waters.. but such Titanic notions as that might not be enough to keep afloat...

nice cut in to the human dilemma that faces each generation. As I increase in years I note some profound changes of attitude and eventual law. As a boy homosexuality (for men!) was an indictable offence. So too was suicide! Infanticide also qualified too. So too with different peoples.. Tribes ...an...

YEP, in response to the above comments- Suppression produces psychic splits and that which is suppressed 'grows legs' as it were. I recon there is a whole psychology or rather a whole therapy to be developed based on the notion of suppression or perhaps less judgemental.. ‘The psychology of RESISENC...

I have been pondering about what is re-presented here to me and wish to thank ye for the exercise of my own encroaching on my opposite within me, the Shadow is forever constant. Blast! Etc.. Good luck with your studies of Jung whom I read for some 20 odd years and managed to read though the whole Co...
