I read the Estes book when it came out and again recently....upon finding out I have had many of the same experiences as she...it is a true gift of understanding..Listen to her tapes she is a keeper of the old stories.

On looking into Catholic school teaching, they do require certification. The Lutherans can't pass a simple reading, writing, math test. You need a 2.5 gpa to teach at a Lutheran school. I don't remember bogus science being taught at Catholic school in the 70's. The nuns were educated women and a buf...

I went through all the church rituals as Campbell did, and haven't been back since..so maybe that was the intention? At the time it was weird to live in a different medieval/70's world, but I have taken that habit of stepping out and aside with me. Not going along with things and I know I will be OK...

I don't think Jung could spell it out as Campbell did, because of the time he was writing. I sense a strong nudge toward Eastern thinking from Jung in the end, as with Campbell, in order for balance to the current situation, but then what?
