Need Myth Help!
Hello all!
I am looking for myths from different cultures about refugees, wanderers and outsiders. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

You know maryna, I sat here working your question until I realized that hero myths are usually about just that: wanderers, refugees, and outsiders. Theseus, Perseus, Odysseus, Aeneas, Moses, Abraham, Jesus, Sinbad. Knights of the Round Table? Johnny Appleseed?... One or more of those terms apply to each at some point in their stories, no?
Give me stories before I go mad! ~Andreas

I am partially new at the JCF. I need help finding Myths that would help me in my life.
I am not just looking for a book with myths (there are 100s) but one with some explanations-interpretations.
I have read and watched, over and over, "The Power of Myth", listening all sorts of JC's interviews and recently bought the "The Mythic Journey". Still, some myths without the authors interpretation still do not make sense to me.
By the way, I have purchased "Facing Fate, Finding a Destiny" by Machael Meade but it has not arrived yet. Do you think that would be a good one to start with?
Thank you ALL; love this site, love the people around it!

Hello alcala and welcome.
Hope this helps,
Laters.
Just find the ones that are meaningful to you. This forum is definitely the right place.I am partially new at the JCF. I need help finding Myths that would help me in my life.
As far as I know the best interpretation is the one you make for yourself but Joseph Campbell Myths to Live By, Pathways to Bliss and Christopher Volger The Writer's Journey, helped me a lot understand myths and my own myth.I am not just looking for a book with myths (there are 100s) but one with some explanations-interpretations.
Hope this helps,
Laters.

So yeah reading, struggling, exploring, all part of the game.We can have tons of suggestions however the first thing they once told me
about myths is that this business cannot be a quick-fix
