Sometimes we get dry out here in the desert. Apologies.

David Letterman is retiring. They need somebody who can make jokes about all the flaws in the world. Not easy.

What deep thinkers we chaps are...

I went for a bike ride today and after doing so I sat down for a bit of lunch and a cold beer. The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking on various topics.

Finally, I thought about an age old question:
Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the <deleted>?

Women always maintain that giving birth is far more painful than a bloke getting kicked in the <deleted>.

Well, after another beer and some heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with the answer to that question.

Getting kicked in the <deleted> IS definitely more painful than having a baby; and here is the reason for my conclusion.

A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say: "It might be nice to have another child." On the other hand, you never hear a bloke say: "You know, I think I'd like another kick in the <deleted>."

I rest my case. Time for another beer.

I am celebrating today, because the date comes around only once a year.

Hey, all.

Regarding the string of less than humorous posts that I initiated, I moved them to the appropriate thread. Please go here: http://www.jcf.org/new/forum/viewtopic. ... 0863#90863

Is this joke of your own making, Poncho? Setting aside my initial reaction, I also liked this joke when I first read it. 8) Short puns, even the bad ones sometimes and including my own, seem to be my favorites I've noticed.

A couple weeks ago I invited folks to share puns of their own, corny allowed. Please send more if you'd like. :)

Hello Cindy

Sadly, it was not one of my own making. If I come across any others I shall be happy to post them here.

I hope that it will be many more years before you find yourself heading for the Rainbow Bridge!

As they used to say on Monty Python: "And now for something completely different!"

Joseph Campbell once said:

"I don't see any conflict between religion and science. Religion has to accept the science of the day and penetrate it to the mystery. The conflict is between the science of 2000 B.C. and 2000 A.D.."

Well, here's one group that seems to have taken him at his word. Click HERE
