Are you looking for a quotation that you can't quite place? Trying to track down a hard-to-find publication? Here, folks can help you find the answers, or discuss ways for you to discover them for yourself.
"Find a place inside where there's joy, and the joy will burn out the pain."
This quote is attributed everywhere to Joseph Campbell, but I cannot find a citation for when/where/if he said this. Is this 1) a JC quote and if so 2) what is the citation?
Thank you. I hate to use any quote from "inspirational quote" sites unless I can run down the actual citation.
Hi, BeoWevere, and welcome to the JCF Forums. I'm pretty confident that's a Campbell quote, but don't know where it's from. I'll ask those who probably do though.
Thank you! That gives me that last piece of information I need for my citation. I look forward to learning from this group. I know much more about Jung's work than Campbell's and am glad I stumbled on this site in my quest for this citation.
Cindy; who is one of our esteemed moderators and in you may find a kindred spirit and fellow Jungian has put together this remarkable set of threads that is so helpful to many of us less informed here on the forums.
