In the Collected works audio . . . I can't for the life of me remember where . . . Campbell delivered a great and astoundingly concise talk about how personal psychology (or developmental difficulties) directed the individual to one or another ishtadeva within the Hindu tradition. I've been listening to the audio lectures trying to find it.
Anyone knows where this is?
Thanks!

Hi dalber,
Campbell mentions "one's chosen deity" in Lecture I.2.5 The World Soul.
It's at the beginning of Track 4, Continuous Creation: the God and Goddess in Embrace.
He also discusses "your chosen deity" in Lecture II.1.1 The Function of Mythology
at the end of Track 15, The God Idea Today.
Could it be one of those?
