I sooo miss displaying my avatars and seeing those of others... :(

We're missing that snapshot of each poster's personality to be enjoyed and appreciated. Plus the board's less pleasing aesthetically without them...yes, girly, I know.

Clemsy,

Our version of phpBB was created in the Stone Age. How hard can it be, at least, to upload the current version?

It's complicated, Cindy. mark had to shoe horn this version into the website with lots and lots of custom code. Besides, the current version is too many versions ago so that wouldn't work anyway.

Continued patience! However, when I have time, I'll experiment with the avatar function and see if I can figure something out.

That's because you guys haven't tried to change your avatar since the board started acting up a bit, and I can see these few, too. New folks aren't able to upload one at all.

And you can still see Nandu's avatar? From my end, just within the past couple weeks or so I noticed that his had also gone missing.

My Avatar has gone missing from my home computer, but it is visible at the office.

Makes sense if it was the other way round!

Sounds like a cookie issue? When I have a moment, and currently I'm suffering through a catastrophe of Hamlet essays, I'll check it out.

In the scheme of things, Clemsy, the avatar issue just isn't that important, so please don't worry about it for now. :)

Our gremlins seem to put loyalty above all else; someone told me
that his avatar's gone the moment he posted to another website

Nonetheless, I'm posting exclusively to JCF and try to be prudent even on
social media. The reason is certainly not to lose contact with mythical
perspective :P
