Joseph Campbell, New York'ta geçen çocukluğu sırasında mitolojiye ilgi duymaya başladı.
Profesör Campbell'in yazdığı çok sayıda kitap içinde 'Kahramanın Sonsuz Yolculuğu' (The Hero With A Thousand Faces) ve 'Yaratıcı Mitoloji' (The Masks of God) öne çıkmaktadır.

Carmela,
How nice to have a guest like you here, in this new forum
This is Turkish language but our forum welcomes all languages of Anatolia.
Anatolia, the geographic name of this peninsula means the 'Land of the Rising Sun'
(from Anatolé, to Rise) in Ancient Greek and this word turns into
Anadolu of modern Turkish, meaning 'the Land of Mothers'.
That is to say, they didn't touch the consonance and only played a little with the vowels
so that the same combination of sounds start designating something in their own language as well,
with the same logic they operate when interpreting a dream.
Anatolia is also called Asia Minor or Little Asia.
This relatively small area is the crossroads of countless cultures from time immemorial.
I'm speaking Turkish and French (quite imperfectly) because I grew up in a typical mixture of
various Anatolian cultures - observed from a western perspective.
Connecting Joseph Campbell's vision with Asia Minor's unique
mythical heritage was my dream since I first heard of Hero's Journey.
I read your beautiful essay both in English and Spanish.
I just wish to share 'Time Breezes' (Zamanın Meltemleri) with our Turkish readers as
well.
Welcome to Anatolia, Carmela, welcome to our hearts.
Once again, everybody's welcome.
Please feel free to contribute in English or in any other world language.
International Forums are giving all of us the chance to feel like the citizens
of the same planet -beyond national or linguistic barriers.
Don't you think it's great?
Sincerely,
Ercan

[From Greek: "You know, of course, that this is all Greek to me."]
Joseph Campbell est notre héros.
[From French: "Joseph Campbell is our hero."]
Mas tarde, mi amigo,
